Gold Wedding Inspiration

Alicia here!  We are calling GOLD as a big upcoming trend for weddings this year.  You can go big, or add it very quietly in the details.  We've rounded up some inspiration for you:
This wedding gown has a gold beaded bodice.  Subtle and lovely.

Over subtle?  Go bold with your gold!

Why go small with the cake?  Gold frosting and topper?  Swoon.

Gilt edged plates, tableware, and vases for the centerpieces.

Invitations on black with gold lettering look sophisticated.

wrap roundup

Christmas is over, but gift giving occasions never are!  Paper Sushi is a big fan of dressing up gifts beautifully and we've rounded up more stunning wrapping ideas for those baby showers, birthdays, weddings, housewarmings, and thank-yous.
Enjoy!

Bicycles built for me.

Maybe it's the beautiful weather or all the pedaling going on around me in Europe, but I'm in love with bicycle imagery lately. Here's some of what has caught my eye.

Clean, modern bicycle desktop wallpaper. seen on How About Orange and created by Eleanor Grosch of pushmepullyou design.

I have this one on my desktop at the moment.

I adore this bike makeover seen on poppytalk. Look closely, that's not a paint job...that's fabric!

How sweet are these cards by satsumalynn? I fell in love with them on design*sponge.

I think these printed glasses from vital are so much more fun than plain glass yet still feature a simple and clean look.

Less imagery than accoutrement, I couldn't resist what I found at The Bicycle Muse after following a link from oh joy!.

Ah, now I want to get out and hop on my bike!

Weekly Etsy: Crafting for Haiti

I just got my latest etsy buy in the mail.

I'm so head over heels in love with it that I was going to share a bunch of wall decals with you this week. But, the devestation in Haiti has sparked a truly lovely response from the craft community and I want to feature their work this week, instead.

Hearts for Haiti and Craft Hope are both selling donated crafts on etsy and passing the proceeds on to Doctors Without Borders.

Hearts for Haiti has 139 sales so far and the participation of one of my favorite bloggers and vintage vendors - Bleubird Vintage.

Craft Hope has 233 sales so far and the participation of one of my constant reads - sing forever

P.S. Just in the time since I gathered these finds, both stores have put up a TON more stuff.  So, go check them out!

So soft and pink.

Two colors I absolutely adore right now are dusty rose and lilac. Ah, these pictures just make me feel like a girl.

A little inspiration.

With all the painting going on Chez Sushi, I feel like life is one big color story these days. A mini color fairytale with pictures I'm loving on flickr today:
